From My Sunday Paper

Because the Founding Fathers wanted us all to have hollow point bullets for $21.49 a box, right?

Clearly that is what they intended.

Ever notice that nobody ever makes a fuss about the availability of KNIVES when some nut-job brutally stabs someone? Millions of people use guns safely and responsibly every day. We have to blame the perpetrator, not their weapon of choice.

Well I guess all have to make a buck to get a buck right?

@Eric, a knife is a little limited in power. It's really only useful is close and tight situations. A guy with a knife would easily be overpowered compared to a gunmen in a attempted rampage.

Good price.

I don't think so! Maybe they should raise the prices high so the sick weirdos can not afford them. My heart goes out to the recent victims and families of all these shootings.

I've never owned a gun, but I've been to the funeral of a co-worker who was killed by a gunman while helping a woman escape out a window. Bass Pro Shops can suck it.

I seldom give my opinion on these things, but for what it's worth, if one person in that theater had been carrying a gun, I doubt there would have been as many casualties. Just sayin'.

It's a crazy world today. Trouble is the wrong people will always know how and where to get the right stuff to do the most damage.

Hollow points are used as a defensive weapon. I have my fair share of them to protect my house and home should the need ever arise. Can't afford to wait the 10 minutes it'll take for a cop to show up while some psycho is busting down my door or breaking through a window.

And as for the "busting down the door" bit, this did happen to me recently (I wrote about it my my blog). One pump from my shotgun and the guys vanished (thank God).

But...our finders weren't provincial jerks but guys who understood frontier and the unknown. Amazing what goes on.
